Marie-Eve Bordeleau’s need to combine materials and match colours arose from the work of a wood scrap at the École de joaillerie de Québec. Her unique, durable and feminine pendants are inspired by forms drawn from nature.
She applies jewellery techniques to precious wood, sometimes recycled, which she carves, sands, polishes and oils to enhance their natural colour and veining. Elegant and classic, the pieces are paired with sterling silver and freshwater pearls.
Rewarded many times since 2009 with awards of excellence for her magnificent works elaborated in Trois-Rivières, the jewellery artist Marie-Ève Bordeleau is driven by a strong sculptural desire. Her organically contoured jewels are genuine small portable sculptures.
